Education Updates for Singapore

Singapore increased tuition fees by approximately 8.5% for the academic year commencing August 2013. According to Overseas Education’s 2012 annual report the students obtained consistently above the world-wide percentages. The Overseas Education’s future prospects are good and new campuses are being built.
The new campuses will have increased student capacity based on demands which result in their generating higher revenue foreign exchange and profits for the country. The new campuses are completed on time. There are 80,000 foreign students at present study in Singapore. There are 12 Technical Institutes, 5 Polytechnics (Diploma), 4 Universities, and 29 International Schools. Polytechnics or universities are popular making Singapore a preferred destination in Asia for further education.
It has an ambitious Goal to increase the number of foreign students to 150,000 in eight years. Close to 100 foreign degree courses are offered in Singapore with attractive scholarships. Students are mostly interested in Life Sciences/ Healthcare, Wealth Management / Financial Planning, Hospitality & Tourism, Media & Animation and the new Sports Science & Medicine.
